Journal Policies

1. Submission Policy

Submission of a manuscript to the Global Journal of Social and Economic Research (GJSER) confirms that the work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All listed authors must have approved the submission and agreed to its publication.

GJSER accepts manuscripts that have been previously shared as preprints, presented at academic conferences, or circulated in non-journal formats (such as working papers or institutional repositories). Upon acceptance, authors are required to update any existing preprint versions with the full journal citation and DOI once available.

2. Copyright and Open Access Policy

Authors retain full copyright of their published work while granting GJSER the right of first publication. Authors may reuse, share, archive, and distribute their articles after publication, provided that proper citation to the journal is given.

GJSER is an open-access journal and assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published articles. The journal may archive content in indexing services, databases, and repositories to enhance visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation.

3. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy

GJSER adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All submitted manuscripts are screened using professional plagiarism-detection software prior to peer review. Plagiarism, including unattributed copying, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or manipulation, will result in immediate rejection. Ethical compliance is required from authors, reviewers, and editors throughout the publication process.

4. Peer Review and Editorial Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Editorial and Review Procedure:

  1. Initial editorial screening for scope and quality

  2. Assignment to qualified expert reviewers

  3. Peer review process (typically 4–8 weeks)

  4. Editorial decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection)

  5. Revision and resubmission (if required)

  6. Final proof approval prior to publication

The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s academic or ethical standards.

5. Language Policy

GJSER accepts manuscripts written in English, Turkish, Pashto, and Persian. Authors are responsible for ensuring linguistic accuracy, clarity, and academic quality. A consistent spelling convention must be used throughout the manuscript.

6. Manuscript Length Policy

The preferred manuscript length is 4,000–10,000 words, including references. Shorter or longer submissions may be considered based on scholarly merit and content quality.

7. Privacy Statement

All personal information collected through the GJSER website is used solely for editorial and publication purposes and will not be shared with third parties.
